I (Kirstin) tend towards the 'sweet treat' end of the bring-a-snack spectrum. When I hear, "bring an appetizer or dessert to share," we almost always end up in the dessert category. However, last night I had a hankering for something savory and stumbled across Jordi's green chile cheeseball recipe in my files. Yummy. Goodness. Such yummy goodness, in fact, that I thought I'd share the recipe with y'all. If you're needing something delicious and easy to take to a get-together this summer, make this. You won't regret it.
Jordi's Green Chile Cheeseball
8 oz. block cream cheese
8 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 c evaporated millk
small can green chiles (I just used fresh-now-frozen ones from our freezer)
2 cloves garlic
1 t salt
crushed pecan (on wax paper)
Mix all, let set in ball-shape, roll into pecans to cover, put on plate and serve! Delicious!
jord- i don't think i have ever tired this before! yummy!
