We officially met Kelly when we did Project Run and Play together (those are her PRandP creations above- fabulous, right?), though I'm pretty sure we were already stalking her gorgeous blog before that.
If you've spent any time over there at all, your first realization is that she makes lovely (and I mean LOVELY) clothes... clothes for kiddos, clothes for herself, just gorgeousness! It was terribly difficult to try to whittle a list of our favorites, but here are a few- 1-happy solider dress, 2- instant gratification top, 3- sea glass shorties, 4-couture cutie
She is a Knock Off Genius...
...and she takes fantastic pictures...
...and she has great ideas for series (loved her 12 days of Christmas!).
What we really love about Kelly, though, is her heart. She is such an encourager, and that spills right over into her blog. We love reading about Timor and seeing her family prioritize being agents of positive change there- it's like she's given us a personal connection to Timor and the people there and we love her for that. Plus, she makes us laugh! We adore this girl!
And we couldn't be more excited for the Red project she came up with!
Hello friends! Kelly here from Sewing In No Mans Land. I am sooo thrilled to be visiting Kojo Designs. Aren't Kristen and Jordan just a riot? I have adored this series and am sad to see it end. I was so nervous about going so close to the end because I knew the ladies before me would rock our colorful crafting world so I knew I had to do something fantastic with my assignment, RED. Where I currently live there are no malls, no little kids stores... um, just no shopping in general. So when I headed to Jakarta and was able to hit up the GAP for the first time in eons I expected to go wild. Once there I couldn't bring myself to buy most of the stuff though because everything I looked at I thought "I can totally make that!" The one that stuck with me most though was their tiered ruffled dress. I absolutely loved it and was dying to recreate it in shirt form and thought Red would be the perfect color, so I went to town and made the Baby in Red top.
It is super comfy with a single button closure in the back and a sea of ruffles every where else.
I am so happy with how it turned out and how much Evie loved wearing it. When I tried to take it off after the shoot she kept pulling it back down. Thats gotta be a stamp of approval right?
It comes together extremely quickly and is soooo easy a beginner can certainly do it :) I knew I had to do something cool for photo's so Evie and I headed to the beach with our A-Frame
Fingers crossed you hop on over to Sewing In No Mans Land and lets make one!!

And be sure to check out the Summer-y Red lei's (by Jamie at the Crafting Chicks) over at Delia's today!
