    kona solids are my mainstay fabrics for accent color, and applique pieces. right now, i'm appliqueing vines and leaves and using those fabulous green kona fabrics for the skinny borders. love the way it's working out.

  26. I don't think I've ever been the first to comment, but I've always loved that bundle of Kona solids. And after staring at the bundle every time I walk into my bedroom/sewing room, I'd give in and make...I have no idea. But something fabulous, I'm sure!   60. OH gosh I'm not seeing any other posts so either they are needing approval or I'm first. Crossing my fingers either way.

    If I were to win they would be put with other fabrics I have already sitting here that need some solids. I have a new Grandson arriving early September and need to make a quilt for him so I would probably use some or all in that. OR possibly in other things I want to make for him like toys, bibs etc.

  172. I have a lot of fabric in my stash that "reads" as a solid (some of it you have to stand pretty far back and squint at it) but no actual factual solids. How did that happen? That color selection of the solids is so beautiful I would be tempted to use them on their own, just to showcase their colors. Thank you for the chance to win!

I have the book Amish-Inspired Quilts by Becky Goldsmith & Linda Jenkins (C&T Publishing 2006)--lots of inspiration there. I'd make patchwork wristlets with button or embroidery accents with the scraps.
