Just thought I'd round things out this week with Vintage Sheet Project #3 (see Project #1 here and Project #2 here)- fabric cocktail napkins. I love these, by the way. Like, sort-of-wish-I'd-kept-them-for-myself-instead-of-giving-them-as-a-gift love them. Maybe I'll make myself a batch. ;)
And you definitely should make yourself a batch too!
I followed this basic cocktail napkin tutorial...
..cut my (washed!) sheets (6" x 12" rectangles instead of squares)...
...folded in half (with the right sides facing each other) and sewed up the two sides...
...pinking sheared to two sides...
...folded over a cuff on the open edge...
...turned right side in...
...top stitched around the perimeter...
...added a square of zigzag stitching about an inch in...
...and tied up with a bow of bakers twine!
Don't they make a pretty gift? Don't they make you want to go cut up your stash of vintage sheets to make a pile of these lovelies?
Gorgeous pictures in this post - love all the colors!! Great job :-)
