polka dot paper tent labels- how to

Cocktails & Mocktails (my favorite summertime party!) is this weekend!  Party prep is in full effect around here... there are all sorts of yummy ingredients for appetizers and desserts in the fridge, piles of decorations littering the craft room, and a gigantic, half finished to-do list sitting on the dining room table.

As I was making the "cocktail" and "mocktail" labels that people use to indicate which of their pitchers contain adult-only beverages or something more prego-friendly, I noticed something.  I use these little polka dot label tents for EVERYTHING- place cards, food labeling, directions... they are definitely a staple around here.  And they're super easy.  I thought y'all might need to add them to your party hostessing repertoire as well. :)

To make them, first you print out your polka dot labels.  I have a document saved with blank circles that are the same size as my biggest circle punch and would definitely recommend this!  Just mess around in Microsoft word or Powerpoint until you have a whole sheet of polka dots that are the size you need, then customize to each different occasion.

Next you punch out the polka dot labels.

Then, cut a whole stack of 4"x4" paper squares.  It's fun to use patterned paper that coordinates with your palette.

Fold the paper squares in half (you can round the corners here for an extra finished look if you want).

Glue the bottom half of your polka dot to the middle of your paper tent.

Done!  Off to label!
