hyatti- beating the heat

Blame it on my fair (read- easily sunburned!) skin, or on the fact that summer in Lubbock = staying inside, or on my love of jeans and hoodies, but I am just not a Summer Lovin' girl.

Given unlimited refills of icy-cold Sonic and cushy beach towels, I think my sisters (and our mama, incidentally) could live at the beach.

Not me.

However, I will say that sights like buckets filled with water balloons, wagons decked out in red, white and blue, and a delectable Drink of Heaven from the Bucks make this season a little more palatable. :)

ps- Today's post is part of a series called Hyatti, which means "My Life." I love the chance to share little glimpses of regular life every week with y'all.

  1. I'm with you, I am not a fan of summer. My town is looking at 103 degrees today. However I could live at the beach, I love it!! Of course, central California beaches often get cold and foggy in the summertime.....
