why I hate august

If you read that and thought it was because of the heat, guess again. Heat I can handle. The end of summer I cannot. I know that Fall has a large and faithful contingency, but I am a summer girl through and through (if you want to talk fall, email Jord). And since August is the Beginning of the End, it bears the brunt of my summer-is-almost-over panic.

In order to cheer myself up, I made a list of all of the oh-so-summer-y goodness still to come to the kojo blog. Still coming this summer-

Seersucker

Rosemary Peach Lemonade
A garden baby shower with a vintage vibe

The garden gate of champions

Pink Salty Dogs

Not one, not two, but THREE vintage sheet projects

Beachy dresses

Looking over that list, I am not positive we'll get to all of that in August. But we sure will try, gosh darn it. Fits right in with my philosophy of August- cram in as much summer as you can while it's still here- haha! :)

ps- Jord wanted me to tell you that, in my Summer Lovin', we haven't forgotten Fall's groupies... there are some cooler weather projects in the works for those of you who are itching for fall foliage and Pumpkin Pie Lattes.

ppss- Don't forget to enter the Canton Village Quilt Works Giveaway before midnight tonight! Free fabric = fabulous!

  2. Can't wait to see!! I woke up in a panic today feeling the same way...August 1st, ugh, please make summer last!! I live in the Chicago 'burbs and while I surely will embrace fall when it's here...I don't want to see, smell or hear anything related to it until then! Cheers to summer!

  4. I love regular summer, this one has been a bit too hot for me, but I do not look forward to fall and winter yet. I would love to see an indian summer.

  6. I know just what you're talking about. In fact, I even get a little panicy at the end of June. Sometimes I feel I live the rest of the year just to make it to summer, and then summer goes by so quickly! I think I need to move to a warmer climate! Can't wait to see what you have in store here to keep the summer going as long as we can!!

  7. Oh, Kirstin. Yet another thing we have in common...I am truly a summer girl at heart too. There is just nothing better to me. And August is especially depressing to me this time because my Avery is going to kindergarten. : (
Lovin' all the vintage sheet goodness. I had just favorited a bunch on Etsy and then saw these great ideas of what to do with them! : ) Thanks, friend!
